Annoyed by all those ads on the internet? Hate those big, flashy pop up ads? Then read this article and find out how to block all those and much more!

For my Youtube video explaining this, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X90Z8oL2bPE. Or see the video below.

How to Block Ads in Google Chrome

Step 1: Go to the Google Chrome Extensions Website

Type in a search engine"Google Chrome Extensions" or just go here. https://chrome.google.com/extensions/?hl=en

Step 2: Install Adblock

Search "Adblock" in the search bar at the top. Click the first option, which is Adblock. Or just go here. https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=en. Click the Shiny Blue button that says "Install". Now a windows will show up asking you to confirm the installation. Click "Install" again to confirm the installation.

Step 3: Configure Adblock

To configure Adblock, click the wrench in the top right corner. Scroll down to "Tools" and then click Extensions. Find Adblock in the list, and then click Options. The "General" tab has some general options you can configure to your liking. In the "Filters" tab, you can suscribe to filter lists. If in the US, the AdBlock custom filters and Easylist should be enabled. The "Customize" tab allows you to add specific filters to Adblock. You can filter out almost anything, but for now just leave the custom filters blank.

Thats It!

Thats all there is to it! Enjoy your ad-free web browsing! Be sure to leave a comment to tell how this article helped you.
