Default Screensavers
Windows 7 and Vista have some pretty cool screensavers, but some aren't customizable by default. Here is how to customize those "uncustomizable" default screensavers in Windows 7 and Vista.
How to Customize the Default Screensavers
Download and run the System Screensavers Tweaker from here. On the main window, you will see tabs at the top with the names of various screensavers. Click a tab to configure that screensavers specific settings. Each screensaver will have different settings and effects, so be sure to check them all out! Once you are done configuring the screensaver settings, click Apply at the bottom to apply your screensaver settings.
Preview Your Changes to the Screensaver
Open up the Screen Saver settings by right-clicking on the desktop and clicking Personalize. Click the Screensaver button at the bottom right. In the Screen Saver Settings window, select your modified screensaver in the drop down list and click Preview.
Return Screensaver Settings Back to Default
Open up System Screensavers Tweaker again and click Reset to defaults on the screensaver you want to restore back to default.
Conclusion
Thanks to System Screensavers Tweaker, you are now able to customize your screensavers to your liking! All the screensavers were nice, but what especially impressed me was the tweaks to the Bubbles screensaver. With just some simple clicks, you are able to mke the bubbles really big, or really small. You can even get down to the nitty-gritty, with adjusting the Turbulence force and speed. Overall, the System Screensavers Tweaker is just a pretty nice application to customize your default screensavers in Windows 7 and Vista.
